From June 26th to July 2nd, 2026, the 4A and 4B experienced an exciting language week to Galway, Ireland, with our teachers, Mr. Thaler and Ms. Fink. Since this was an English Language week, we had one golden rule: we were only allowed to speak English the entire time! It was a challenge, but we learned so much.
Here is a look back at our journey:
Our journey started early on Friday, June 26th at 4 AM at Vienna Airport. Our journey took us from Vienna to Zurich, then to Dublin, and finally, by bus straight to Galway, where we stayed at Snoozles Hostel.
Most mornings, we had English lessons with our native-speaking teachers, Danielle and Aisha. In the afternoons, we explored Galway by visiting interesting places, completing a picture hunt, walking to the sea, and creating a short film. We also had some free time to discover the city on our own.
A highlight of the week was our trip to the famous Cliffs of Moher on Monday. We enjoyed the breathtaking scenery, took lots of photos, and learned interesting facts about the area during the bus ride.
Every evening, we had dinner together and presented the projects we had completed during the day, including quizzes, photos, and short films.
On July 2nd, it was time to return home. It was an unforgettable week filled with new experiences, improved English skills, and many great memories with our classmates. Galway 2026 is a memory we will cherish for a long time!
